GLIMMERS OF HOPE STYLED WEDDING SHOOT

21/06/21

“Love is a springtime plant that perfumes everything with its hope.”

Gustave Flaubert

To celebrate the beauty of the season of love and the return of unlimited weddings, I’ve collaborated with some amazing suppliers to deliver a styled wedding shoot that captures the ‘Glimmers of Hope‘ we’ve been handed, as the wedding and events industry sets to make a wonderful comeback.

As a UK based wedding planner residing in Surrey, I know first hand how much of a roller coaster the past 15 months have been for couples and fellow industry suppliers which is why the idea of hope was a no brainer. For me, hope is being able to hold on to positivity in the midst of confusion and hardship. It’s choosing to look forward at possibilities and hold on to the birthing of a new thing.

The shoot took place at The Old Rectory Estate, a stunning Georgian estate house set in Italian inspired gardens in Surrey and in coming up with the concept of this shoot, I wanted to showcase something that was attainable and achievable for real couples plus something that would encourage them to keep their hopes up for their special day because no matter what, it will be beautiful when it comes around.

Hope means we can stay strong and things will get better. Hope is about understanding change can happen at anytime for bigger and brighter things.

I went for a fun and bright colour palette and with yellow being the colour of hope, I chose to use it as the focal colour, nicely supported with the complementary colours orange, pink, mint and grey. It was also an opportunity for the suppliers on the team to express their imaginative and creative side, demonstrate their ability and portray their skill!

When we make the decision to passionately pursue our greatest purpose, we become the hope in our lives and manifest our greatest dreams, because we refuse to consider any other possibility. Hope is seeing our future as good. And that changes everything.
